Big SleepOut raises over £2,200
Students brave the cold to help Trinity Homeless Projects
Well done to the students and teachers who braved the cold and rain for the homeless at Trinity’s Big SleepOut. Their efforts on Friday night (29th November) together with other fundraising events in school have raised an impressive £2,255 to date to help the homeless.
Year 11 students Kabir and Harmeet are our Ambassadors for Trinity and made a presentation about their fundraising work on the night and this is what they have to say about the experience and their plans to do more for the homeless:
"The SleepOut was a great experience. Despite the harsh conditions, we were able to make it through the night with the help and support of Trinity and everyone that took part from Heston Community School. It made us think about the people who have to sleep outside in such conditions and do not have any support. Heston was able to raise over £2,000 to support Trinity Homeless Projects in its aim to tackle the issue of homelessness within our local communities. We hope to continue this relationship with Trinity for as long as possible. We look forward to working again with them soon and help them to become the best at what they do." - Kabir and Harmeet Year 11 students and Ambassadors for Trinity from Heston Community School.
