On Saturday, 11 May Matas Luksas [10Y] attended the London Warriors Basketball Awards Evening where he proudly received the “Rising Star” award in recognition of his commitment to his club and his growing talent within the game, where he averaged 18 points and 11.5 rebounds.

Matas said, “It was an amazing ceremony with over 200 people attending. We started the evening with complimentary food which was then followed by the giving of the awards. The evening finished with a dance and it was all great fun.”

Matas’s team also celebrated the fact that they won all their matches except one and they also won the Conference Finals. Previously, Matas has attended the four day basketball tournament in Skopje, Macedonia as part of the European Youth Basketball League where again, they won all their games except one. Well done Matas! Looks like it’s one more slam dunk in your growing basketball career.
