Manga Workshop with Chie Kutsuwada
Manga Club students enjoy a "Masterclass"
A group of Manga enthusiasts, students from Years 7, 8, 9 and 10, attended a workshop in the LRC which was delivered by the very talented Japanese Manga Artist, Chei Kutsuwada.
Chei was very engaging and demonstrated drawing techniques to help the students improve their skills. Students were delighted with the opportunity to meet a top artist and pick up many tips to improve their drawing.
Chei also presented the winner and runners up of the “Design a Manga Bookmark Competition” with their prizes: some lovely Manga books, signed by Chie, to inspire them and help them to develop their Manga drawing skills.
Congratulations to the prize winners whose designs were inspired by Japanese Manga Artists. Jasleen’s (9R) winning design (pictured right) will be featured on a Library bookmark. The runners-up (pictured above with Chie) were Jess (7R), Shametha (7W), Gagandeep (8Y) and Anmol (8P).
All the students who attend Manga Club thoroughly enjoyed the day and the opportunity to meet and learn from Chei.
