Super Learning Day - American Food Festival
On Wednesday 23rd March we celebrated Kansas day as part of our 'Celebration' topic. Over the course of three weeks, we researched information and facts about the USA and Kansas – this was then be used during the day and give depth and understanding of why Americans celebrate this day. From period 1 to period 3, we prepared lots of American themed bunting, designed tabled cloths, and decorated our own cups and bowls. In period 4, we started cooking food relating to western American culture. Kali and I made the fresh strawberry cheesecake, Ria, Lazia and Joana made the fresh homemade coleslaw, Luca and Mardi made the beef burgers. We all decorated the table and laid out all the silverware and plates and then everyone sat down and ate all the amazing food we had prepared. Overall, this was an incredibly fun experience and I hope to do it again.
