Anthropology at the Bristish Museum
Sixth Form Anthropology students visit the British Museum
Year 12 and 13 Anthropology students visited the British Museum in April. Both classes study material culture as a part of their Anthropology A level courses. Material culture is the physical evidence of a culture in the objects and architecture they make, or have made.
The British Museum’s Education Manager, Nicholas Badcott gave our students a talk about history and acquisition of objects in the British Museum. Afterwards students were explored different sections of the museum as well as conducting research on chosen cultural objects in more depth.
It was great day of learning about different cultures through artefacts.
